Attachment-Focused EMDR

$300 - $500 (60-90 minute sessions)

Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (AF-EMDR) is a client-centered approach to EMDR developed by psychologist and trauma expert Dr. Laurel Parnell. It incorporates attachment theory and focuses on the ways our early experiences and relationships can shape our nervous systems, our sense of safety, and the way we relate to ourselves and others.

AF-EMDR can be especially helpful for people working through complex or developmental trauma, including difficult family relationships, neglect, abuse, or other experiences that continue to affect their lives and relationships. The approach places a strong emphasis on safety, building resources, and developing a trusting therapeutic relationship before and during trauma processing.

As with all of my work, AF-EMDR is collaborative and tailored to each person. We move at a pace that feels manageable, using EMDR alongside relational and resourcing techniques to help you process difficult experiences and develop new ways of understanding yourself and what you have been through.

I received specialized training in Attachment-Focused EMDR through Dr. Laurel Parnell's training program and integrate this approach into my broader relational, trauma-informed practice.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

$600.00 per dosing session

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) combines ketamine treatment with psychotherapy to support people who may feel stuck despite traditional approaches. It can be helpful for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. I provide preparation, support during treatment, and integration to help you make meaning of the experience and carry insights into your everyday life.

About Me

Anya Dangora, LMHC, is a relational psychodynamic psychotherapist specializing in trauma-informed care. She is social justice-oriented, LGBTQ+ affirming, and non-pathologizing in her work. Anya is anti-oppressive and is passionate about contextualizing suffering so as to liberate ourselves from excessive self-blame and limiting self-beliefs. As a psychotherapist, she creates a non-judgemental, and compassionate space to process challenges through her innate curiosity, perseverance, and open-mindedness. She believes that true healing and authentic discovery of self occurs within healthy relationships, and is committed to upholding her end of the bargain. Her work demonstrates her authentic passion for learning client's inner worlds by sensing and attuning to spoken and unspoken dynamics and needs. Anya's therapeutic approach is integrative and borrows skills from humanistic, DBT, CBT, IFS, SE, ACT, EMDR, and Jungian and Buddhist Psychology. She values holistic, empowering, and individualized approaches to care.

Anya specializes in complex trauma, including psychological abuse, narcissistic and/or emotionally immature parents, sexual assault, chronic illness, and grief/loss. She works frequently with cPTSD, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, ADHD, burnout, and identity development. Anya believes that no feeling in response to suffering is “wrong”, and no issue is too large or too small to bring to therapy.

Anya earned her Master’s degree from Boston College’s Lynch School of Education and Human Development. Before opening her private practice, Anya worked in university, group, hospital, and community mental health settings. She has a research background in the social determinants of health as well as positive LGBTQ+ youth development.
